Explore the fundamentals and applications of computers and software, alongside essential mathematics topics, a capstone project, and a six-month industry placement. Develop practical programming abilities and sophisticated problem-solving methods in our specialized computer science facility (Eolas). During your first year, you'll combine Computer Science and Mathematics with either an Arts discipline or Critical Skills.
A transfer option exists from first-year MH101 Arts to second-year MH601 Computer Science and Software Engineering (via Arts). Applicants must complete and pass a minimum of 22.5 Computer Science credits in their initial year, with no enrollment restrictions. First-year students gain significant advantages by pairing Computer Science with an Arts subject, broadening their academic perspective.

Students must have completed a Leaving Certificate equivalent to the Ireland Leaving Certificate.

International Baccalaureate – English A1, A2, or B5 at Higher Level (4at either Level if presenting IB through English) NOTE: Applicants whose school-leaving examinations are more than two years old should present additional proof of English.
