In this program, you'll discover ways to improve health and human performance while promoting a fit, knowledgeable, and active community. You'll experience diverse teaching approaches, from hands-on workshops to developing essential career skills like innovative and analytical thinking.
Your studies will cover anatomy, behavior modification, coaching, nutrition, physiology, psychology, and sociology, applying these concepts across all age groups and settings from general wellness to professional athletics. For real-world experience, you'll complete a six-month INTRA work placement during your third year.
With a Sport Science and Health degree, career paths include performance analyst, fitness coach, lab technician, or health educator. You could also pursue graduate studies in elite sports, public health, athletic training, nutrition science, psychology, physiology, physical therapy, or accelerated medical programs.
Additional study options include physical therapy, dietary science, clinical exercise, athletic training, coaching, or education.
Our INTRA initiative offers six months of paid, industry-relevant work experience, giving graduates a significant advantage in the job market. The program builds comprehensive knowledge and skills for careers in: Sports (coaching, sport management, athletic science, sports business) and Healthcare (community health, cardiac rehab, workplace wellness consulting)
Alumni often serve as fitness specialists in gyms, sports clubs, or wellness centers, helping clients achieve objectives through customized assessment and program design. After evaluating assessment data, they create tailored exercise regimens addressing technical, physical, or mental aspects. The program also opens doors to advanced studies in specialized fields like rehabilitation, nutrition science, therapeutic exercise, athletic conditioning, and instructional coaching.

GCE A LEVELS

General Certificate in Education qualifications must meet one of the following requirements, in addition to any specific programme requirements.

  • 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C plus 4 GCE O levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.
  • 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C, plus 2 GCE AS Level at Grade C, plus 2 GCE O Levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.
  • 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C, plus 1 GCE AS Level at Grade C, plus 3 GCE O Levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or have an equivalent qualification.
