At DCU, students deconstruct systems to understand their inner workings, then reassemble them with enhancements. You'll have access to cutting-edge facilities featuring 3D printers and modern equipment, while mastering fundamental engineering principles. While mathematics forms the core, you'll develop comprehensive expertise in mechanical engineering, computational modeling, product development, and leadership in projects. The third year includes an eight-month professional internship, with study abroad opportunities available. You can also opt to continue for an additional year to earn your master's qualification.
This internationally recognized, accredited degree opens doors to high-paying engineering positions worldwide. You can enter directly through CAO (the recommended path) or transfer after completing the shared first-year engineering curriculum.
The program offers an integrated master's pathway, allowing students to extend their studies by one year, expand their INTRA professional placement, and graduate with an advanced degree.

GCE A LEVELS
General Certificate in Education qualifications must meet one of the following requirements, in addition to any specific programme requirements.
- 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C plus 4 GCE O levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.
- 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C, plus 2 GCE AS Level at Grade C, plus 2 GCE O Levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.
- 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C, plus 1 GCE AS Level at Grade C, plus 3 GCE O Levels at Grade C, which must include the subjects Mathematics and English.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or have an equivalent qualification.
