The MA and PhD programs in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies focus on our shared passion for exploring performance across theatrical, dance, and cultural contexts. Our approach involves examining performance both in traditional settings and within daily experiences, revealing its cultural, political, material, and ideological aspects throughout history. By analyzing performances in diverse environments—from theaters and galleries to rituals, media, public spaces, political events, large-scale spectacles, and personal exchanges—we demonstrate how performance can offer insightful perspectives on societal issues, fostering politically aware and ethically conscious participation in public discourse.
