This diploma equips York Master's graduates with the vision, knowledge, resources, competencies, and credentials to emerge as leaders at the intersection of business and environmental sustainability. A key feature of the program involves a 12-week practical experience through either an internship or placement with organizations specializing in business-environment initiatives.
The Graduate Diploma in Business and Environment is a collaborative offering between the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change and the Erivan K. Haub Program at Schulich School of Business.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants must hold, at a minimum, an Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent.
York students currently completing their MES graduate degree with the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change and who wish to complete this Graduate Diploma concurrently.
York students currently completing their MBA graduate degree with the Schulich School of Business and who wish to complete this Graduate Diploma concurrently.
The following York University programmes also allow students to count the GDAS core course towards the diploma and towards their degree: Anthropology, Communication & Culture, Geography, History, Humanities and Sociology. The GDAS is also linked with the Faculty of Environmental Studies
