The Psychology graduate program stands as one of Canada's most extensive and varied, featuring seven specialized fields: Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Science; Developmental Science; History & Theory; Quantitative Methods; Social & Personality; Clinical; and Clinical-Developmental.
Certain specializations like Quantitative Methods and History & Theory are uncommon at other institutions. We uniquely offer CPA-accredited clinical programs in both Clinical (adult-focused) and Clinical-Developmental disciplines, along with a Clinical Neuropsychology track. Students can further enhance their qualifications through diploma programs in Neuroscience (including access to neuroimaging facilities), Health Psychology, and Statistics, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
With over 90 faculty members exploring a wide array of subjects, the program fosters interdisciplinary research through centers like the prestigious Centre for Vision Research, the LaMarsh Centre for Child & Youth Research, and the Centre for Aging Research & Education. Faculty collaborations extend from community hospitals to NASA, while clinical students benefit from strong ties to practical training sites.
