At Lassonde, experience the perfect blend – explore your interests through exposure to all engineering disciplines in our foundational year or, if you've already decided, secure your specialization with our Engineering Program Guarantee, available through our optional Boost co-application.
Whichever path you select, you'll start with our shared Engineering foundation year, with specialization courses beginning in year two. When applying to Lassonde, you'll apply to "Engineering" generally, but you can reserve a spot in your preferred program before accepting admission.
If you reconsider your program choice during first year or remain undecided about which Engineering discipline suits you best – no problem – we ensure spaces will be available in each program for students to select after their first year. You can request a program change for your second year.

Qualification Requirements
You are not required to submit proof of English proficiency language test scores if you have successfully completedor are in the process of successfully completingone of the following -
Four fullyears of study in English or French at an accredited high school in Canada or where English is the official primary language of the country or,
Four fullyears of study at the high-school level where English is the primary language of instruction or,
One fullyear of study in an accredited university degree program in English in a country where English is a primary language or where English is the official language of the institution or
Two fullyears of study in English in an accredited college diploma orapplied degree program in a country where English is a primary language or where English is the official language of the institution.
International Baccalaureate IB Students who have completed or in the process of completing the IB diploma in English or French may meet our language requirements Students must show achievement of the IB diploma once it has been granted.
Applicants with an International Baccalaureate IB Diploma - The University may grant a maximum of 30 credits 5 full courses for Higher Level IB courses with grades of 5 or better.
GCE GCSE IGCSE A minimum final grade of B in GCSE IGCSE GCE Ordinary Level English English Language or English as a Second Language OR a minimum final or predicted grade of C in GCE A Level or AS Level or sAICE English or English Language.
