The Mathematics program immerses students in the elegance of mathematical thinking through abstract concepts and logical reasoning. While emphasizing pure mathematics and its inherent beauty, the curriculum also equips learners with valuable skills for diverse careers requiring mathematical expertise. Our program covers fundamental principles that underpin real-world applications in fields such as cryptography, computing, physics, economics, artificial intelligence, financial modeling, and beyond. It also serves as strong preparation for advanced academic pursuits.
Degree options include Bachelor of Arts Honours (BA Hons), Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc Hons), Bachelor of Arts Specialized Honours (BA Spec. Hons), or Bachelor of Science Specialized Honours (BA Spec. Hons) in Mathematics. Students may also pursue an Honours Minor BABSc in Mathematics.
The BA program allows for complementary studies in subjects such as economics, commerce, psychology, or philosophy.
The BSc program offers elective opportunities in disciplines like physics, astronomy, life sciences, or chemistry.
Students need to have: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD); Six 4U/4M courses, including ENG4U, NBE4U or FRA4U. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Canada.
