The Master of Environmental Studies (MES) program is delivered through the collaborative Waterloo-Laurier Graduate Program in Geography, combining resources to create Canada's third-largest graduate geography program.
Students gain access to our faculty's extensive knowledge and engage with peers in a stimulating academic setting. This partnership enables exploration across diverse research areas, from critical social and environmental challenges to fundamental philosophical and technical inquiries.

Students can earn their MES through either a two-year thesis track or a major research paper pathway. Starting September 2021, Laurier-enrolled students have the additional option to specialize in Environmental Data Analytics (EDA).
