Our world grapples with urgent challenges concerning global justice, including armed conflicts, human migration, economic disparities, and environmental transformations. To effectively examine and tackle these complex matters, a multidisciplinary approach is essential. The MA in Religion, Culture and Global Justice is an innovative program that provides a vital interdisciplinary platform for exploring religion's role in these worldwide concerns.
While addressing policy considerations, the curriculum encourages rigorous examination of cultural and religious dynamics and their political consequences in an increasingly interconnected world.
Our faculty members, selected from Laurier's Religion and Culture and Global Studies departments, represent diverse expertise across social sciences and humanities, conducting international research. We integrate this wealth of knowledge into our teaching and student mentorship, promoting intellectual growth and open exploration.

Qualification Requirements

A four-year (honours) undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
A minimum B average in your fourth year of undergraduate study and a B+ in your major.
Applications are reviewed by the graduate program committee, which considers all prior university grades, statement of research interests, a writing sample and letters of reference.
Review any additional requirements/considerations applicable as an international applicant.
TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Home Edition: minimum score of 83, with minimum skill scores of 20 in each of the skills tests (speaking, writing, reading and listening).
Paper-based TOEFL: minimum of 560.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS, IELTS Online): academic minimum score of 6.5 with no band score below 6.0.
