The Doctorate in Human Relationships enhances your expertise in pastoral leadership, spiritual counseling, and psychotherapy through rigorous academic study and dissertation work. Graduates emerge equipped to excel in diverse areas including ministry, mental health practice, spiritual guidance, and academia.
The Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy specialization deepens professional skills in these interconnected disciplines. Through this concentration, students engage with advanced theological and theoretical frameworks while gaining hands-on experience through clinical training in individual, couples, and family therapy or spiritual counseling.

Master of Divinity degree or equivalent with a minimum average of B+.
Pastoral Leadership applicants will have three years of demonstrated experience in service or ministry.
Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy applicants will have three years experience of clinical practice as a Registered Psychotherapist (or equivalent experience).
Interviews may be requested.
A completed statement of intent.
A resume of your academic and work experience. Include a history of your publication and scholarly paper activity and any other information you feel will interest the admissions committee.
A sample of your scholarly writing (10-20 pages in length). This may be a chapter of your master's thesis or a paper written for a graduate course.
Completed two reference forms.
TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Home Edition: minimum score of 83, with minimum skill scores of 20 in each of the skills tests (speaking, writing, reading and listening).
Paper-based TOEFL: minimum of 560.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS, IELTS Online): academic minimum score of 6.5 with no band score below 6.0.
