Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography program emphasizes either human or physical geography, employing social and natural science approaches to analyze spatial and temporal patterns. You'll develop critical thinking skills to address multifaceted topics including urban development, migration patterns, health and food networks, hydrological systems, coastal dynamics, and atmospheric changes influenced by human actions.
The Human Geography track examines cultural and societal interactions with our planet, investigating demographic shifts, population movements, and environmental impacts of human behavior. You'll study urban growth, transportation networks, energy consumption, development trends, sustainability challenges, and migration flows. The Physical Geography concentration explores Earth's evolving surface in relation to climatic variations, investigating natural processes and their alterations due to human influence.
During your initial two years, you'll gain comprehensive geographic foundations, enabling specialization in upper years with advanced training in research methodologies tailored to your chosen focus area.
