Western's Microbiology and Immunology Graduate Program provides intensive thesis-driven training for Master's students. Our cutting-edge facilities and inspiring academic setting support high-impact research initiatives led by globally renowned faculty. The program focuses on two primary scientific disciplines: 1) Molecular and cellular microbiology, and 2) Molecular and cellular immunology. Research encompasses bacteria, viruses, parasites, cancer cells, and immune cells, with strong emphasis on molecular biology, biochemistry, and disease mechanisms. Students may choose between a one-year intensive option or a comprehensive two-year track designed for those pursuing research careers or seeking advanced laboratory skills.
