The Department of Medical Biophysics collaborates extensively with various university departments, research centers, and healthcare facilities across London to provide exceptional graduate education in multiple disciplines such as: cardiovascular disorders, microvascular studies, blood flow dynamics, biomechanical systems, and oncology research. Our department maintains a strong focus on biomedical imaging technologies (including CT, MRI, MRS, ultrasound, SPECT, PET-CT, PET-MRI, optical, and photoacoustic methods), conducting cutting-edge research at cellular, animal model, preclinical, and clinical levels. Students in our program gain hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation, frequently integrating computational approaches with laboratory methods.
Collectively, our students' research contributes significant advancements across physical, biological, and clinical sciences. Graduates typically secure fulfilling positions in healthcare organizations, biomedical companies, or academic institutions, while some choose to continue their education in professional programs like medical school, dental studies, or business administration.
