At Western, astrophysics experts will guide you in studying celestial phenomena like black holes, exoplanets, meteor showers, planetary atmospheres, interstellar matter, and galactic evolution across the ages. The training in this program equips our alumni to contribute to groundbreaking research, such as the detection of gravitational waves and identification of extrasolar planets.
The Physics and Astronomy Department at Western is dedicated to unraveling the universal principles that dictate the behavior of everything in existence. Our cross-disciplinary work examines the interplay of matter, energy, and forces across all scales - from Earth's immediate environment to the mysterious boundaries of faraway black holes. We're equally interested in physics' medical and environmental applications as we are in understanding the cosmic architecture of the universe.

A minimum average of B grade in 3 distinct A-Levels or 4 distinct AS-Levels. Predicted Results - You must complete the GCE A Level Predicted Results Form.
A minimum of a C grade in 5 GCSE or IGCSE or Ordinary Levels or equivalent in academic subjects.
A minimum of 4.0 full senior academic courses reported on your academic transcript.
A minimum SAT combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing plus Math score of 1190 OR a minimum ACT composite score of 24.
The score reports must be official and come to the Admissions Office directly from the College Board or ACT.
