For those seeking a program combining studio instruction and ensemble performance, consider applying to the Bachelor of Music degree.

All first-year Bachelor of Music students take foundational courses in Music Theory, Music History, and Music Skills (covering Sight-singing, Ear-training, and Keyboard Harmony), along with a half-course option in composition, music education, or popular music studies, plus elective choices within and outside the Don Wright Faculty of Music. Students also benefit from weekly private lessons, masterclasses, and ensemble participation.

Bachelor of Music (Honours) candidates typically declare their specialization near the end of first year after evaluating their aptitudes and interests, though they may opt to continue in a general music program without a specific focus.

Core subjects (Music Theory, History, and Skills) continue through second year, with third and fourth years offering deeper specialization in chosen areas.

Admission requires six Grade 12U/M courses including English (ENG4U), plus a successful audition and interview.

Qualified applicants begin with a Common First Year curriculum in the Bachelor of Music program.

Those not admitted to the Bachelor of Music program may be considered for the BA (Music) program instead.
