The School of Biomedical Engineering provides four combined undergraduate degree options. Consult the Western Calendar for current information about program structures, academic requirements, and course prerequisites. Every student completes a shared foundational first year. In your initial year at Western, you'll enroll in diverse introductory classes to establish essential engineering knowledge. By completing first year, you'll gain the necessary insight to choose your degree specialization. Starting in second year, you'll focus on one of four principal engineering fields while also studying biomedical engineering basics. During third year, you'll fulfill most core program requirements along with general Biology 1001 and Biology 1002 courses.
A minimum average of B grade in 3 distinct A-Levels or 4 distinct AS-Levels. Predicted Results - You must complete the GCE A Level Predicted Results Form. A minimum of a C grade in 5 GCSE or IGCSE or Ordinary Levels or equivalent in academic subjects. A minimum of 4.0 full senior academic courses reported on your academic transcript. A minimum SAT combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing plus Math score of 1190 OR a minimum ACT composite score of 24. The score reports must be official and come to the Admissions Office directly from the College Board or ACT.
