The Arts Management Certificate offers students a foundational understanding of leading arts organizations while helping these institutions cultivate their future leadership talent.

The curriculum focuses on essential competencies including financial oversight, promotional strategies, donor development, volunteer coordination, team leadership, technology applications, and field-specific frameworks. The program incorporates two practical internships with arts institutions.

Students can specialize in music, theater, or visual arts, or opt for a comprehensive path by exploring all three disciplines.

All certificate courses may be applied toward bachelor's degree requirements, and conversely, degree coursework can count toward the certificate. Students may complete the certificate independently or concurrently with a degree program.

Career Pathways

Graduates find employment across cultural institutions like galleries, performance venues, and musical ensembles, working in roles such as promotion specialists, development officers, media relations experts, production staff, and ticketing supervisors. Alumni positions include marketing associates, ticket office administrators, sales coordinators, publicists, and operational managers.
