The BSc Honours Chemistry and Physics program (available with or without thesis) is ideal for those interested in specializing in physical chemistry or chemical physics. This curriculum places greater emphasis on physical chemistry and physics, covering matter characterization through spectroscopy, theoretical approaches, and advanced instrumentation like microscopes, lasers, and X-ray diffractometers. Advanced coursework in both physics and chemistry is offered.

For those interested in materials science, the Materials Stream provides specialized knowledge in synthetic and bio-materials chemistry. Certain courses are accessible online as part of the Materials Chemistry Certificate program. Additionally, students can opt for work-integrated learning, which includes an 8-12 month paid internship in various industries (pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemical) or organizations (government, community, healthcare).
