Gain hands-on, technical training across various disciplines including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, digital video and new media, while engaging with critical contemporary art theory.
As an emerging artist, you'll benefit from quality studio spaces, essential skill development, supportive instructors, and the freedom to discover and express your unique artistic vision.

The program combines intensive studio work with art historical study, plus exhibition experiences and connections to cultural organizations in Windsor and Detroit.

Course offerings include drawing, painting, print media, photography, sculpture, bio art, film production and integrated media (digital imaging, sound and video). Fourth-year students receive private studio space.

Our studio faculty exhibit globally while our art historians lecture internationally. Alumni include renowned artists, university professors across North America, and curators at leading galleries.

English Language Proficiency Requirement: Minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); Minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); minimum score of 220 with a T.W.E. 4.5 on the Computer-based Test, 83 with an essay score of 20 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL).
