The five-year Concurrent Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and Bachelor of Education Program is a collaborative offering between the French Studies Program and the Faculty of Education. Upon completion, graduates will earn both a BA and BEd degree.
Career opportunities
Throughout this program, students develop the competencies required to teach French as a Second Language (including Core French and Immersion) within Ontario's English-language school systems (both Public and Catholic) for grades 7 through 12. The curriculum prepares candidates to meet all qualifications for certification by the Ontario College of Teachers. Practical teaching experience begins as early as the first year of study.
