Quantum information science harnesses these phenomena—including Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, superposition, and entanglement—to develop revolutionary computing, communication, and sensing technologies. At Waterloo's Physics & Astronomy Department, we conduct cutting-edge theoretical and experimental research across quantum cryptography, quantum computing, quantum simulation, and quantum sensors.
