The University of Waterloo provides a distinctive research-focused collaborative program for Master's and PhD studies in Water. This interdisciplinary initiative, delivered through ten departments spanning the Faculties of Arts, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science, aims to foster multifaceted approaches to water-related challenges. The program enhances specialized departmental training by incorporating diverse water-related academic viewpoints. Graduates will gain enhanced capabilities for addressing complex water problems through multidisciplinary teamwork. The two-year Master of Architecture program welcomes candidates from pre-professional architecture backgrounds who have nearly completed their professional accreditation requirements. Applicants with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) from Waterloo or an equivalent qualification can fulfill the Master's requirements in as few as three terms, up to a maximum of six. Other pre-professional architecture degree holders must complete two transitional terms before their thesis year, with all degree requirements to be finished within six academic terms.
