Gain a strong foundation in chemistry and biology while having ample opportunities to study environmental topics like ecology, aquatic systems, geology, and hydrology. You'll explore climate change, groundwater movement and pollution, environmental effects of contaminants, sustainable resource extraction, waste management, and human modifications to Earth's systems. Opt for the Ecology specialization to study ecological sustainability and biodiversity while mastering core biological principles. Select the Geoscience track to examine relationships between Earth's spheres (geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere) and human influences on our planet's complex systems. Alternatively, pursue Water Science to investigate water's unique characteristics, its global distribution across different environments, and the critical role of water quality and availability for human survival and prosperity.

Environmental science utilizes geological understanding to tackle challenges posed by Earth's population of over seven billion people. Key study areas encompass climate change, groundwater dynamics and pollution, environmental consequences of contaminants, ethical resource extraction, waste management solutions, and human alterations to natural processes. You'll have the chance to analyze interactions among Earth's four interconnected spheres, which contain both living organisms and physical components.

Focus on maintaining ecological balance and preserving biodiversity while acquiring essential knowledge about life sciences. Investigate environmental fields that study the evolution, relationships, and potential trajectories of Earth's species and ecosystems.
