Physicians typically assist around a dozen patients daily, while public health experts impact thousands.

Discover how social norms, cultural influences, political systems, and geographic locations significantly affect wellbeing - and how leveraging these elements can address contemporary issues like tobacco use, food scarcity, disease outbreaks, and other health concerns.

Through interdisciplinary approaches, you'll master creating effective health policies and compelling public health communications. Your capstone year includes completing either a research thesis, independent project, or community-based fieldwork.

Earning a Public Health bachelor's degree prepares you to meaningfully benefit society - whether through studying pandemic containment strategies, designing nutrition initiatives for youth, or enhancing elder care programs locally.
Develop skills to assess and enhance population health outcomes. The curriculum emphasizes how social environments, ecosystems, biology, governance, and mental health collectively shape wellbeing and inform solutions for emerging health issues.

Academic options allow specialization within a bachelor's program, requiring fewer credits than a minor. These pathways are faculty-specific. Health Informatics (HI) blends multiple disciplines to optimize digital health data creation, management, storage, and application. The HI option combines coursework from healthcare, computing, data analysis, social sciences, and disease patterns. Graduates frequently develop health IT solutions (like digital medical records or evidence-based practice repositories) across healthcare organizations.
