The General Studio Art program curriculum equips students with diverse technical and artistic abilities across multiple mediums. The journey begins with FINE 100, our foundational studio course, during the first Fall semester, followed by FINEVCULT 101 (Art History and Visual Culture) in Winter. During their second year, students select at least four specialized studio classes from over 20 options, each focusing on distinct mediums like drawing, painting, digital arts, printmaking, sound, sculpture, photography, performance, installation, and wearable art. The third year emphasizes refining these technical abilities while cultivating independent artistic projects. The program also incorporates professional development opportunities, such as credited volunteer positions at regional arts organizations (through FINE 243343).
