The Literature and Rhetoric program combines the complementary strengths of UWaterloo's English Department. This structured curriculum develops expertise in both fields while allowing flexibility to pursue personal interests. Through literary studies, you'll gain a foundation in British, Canadian, American, and Postcolonial literary traditions and theories. The Rhetoric and Professional Writing component examines rhetorical history and theory, professional communication, information design, and digital media. The honors RMPC program offers several pathways tailored to your aspirations: Choose between regular or co-op study formats. Opt for a standalone honors degree, joint honors, or combine it with an Honours Arts and Business degree. Enhance your studies with specializations in creative writing, digital media studies, global literatures, or technical writing.
