The Three-Year General degree program offers a structured curriculum to establish your foundation in English studies. This three-year option allows you to specialize in one of our four majors: Literature, Rhetoric, Media and Professional Communication, Literature and Rhetoric, or Creative and Professional Writing.
Throughout your coursework, you'll explore diverse national and historical literary traditions, encompassing British, postcolonial, Canadian, and American works, while also studying rhetoric, digital media, professional writing, information design, and various other subjects.

Your English Language and Literature classes will provide profound understanding of our society, cultural identity, compelling ideas and concerns, and the links between contemporary and historical perspectives. You'll complete your studies with both comprehensive knowledge and specialized expertise.
