In today's fast-paced, interconnected world, anthropological perspectives have never been more crucial.

Waterloo's Anthropology program lets you investigate both ancient and modern cultures. Study human and primate evolutionary beginnings, uncover past civilizations through archaeology, or examine modern challenges like conflict and digital media.

Our foundational first-year course gives you a comprehensive overview of anthropology. As you progress, you can specialize in your preferred branch: socio-cultural studies, archaeology, or biological anthropology.

Graduates enter diverse fields like consumer research, heritage conservation, forensic science, and global aid programs, with valuable practical experience available through our co-op option.
