The department's archaeological resources include specialized laboratories for Arctic, Great Lakes, and Historical archaeology studies. Students can access modest artifact collections from these regions for academic projects.
Basic excavation equipment is available for small-scale digs. The department maintains an extensive 35mm slide archive documenting global prehistoric cultures, plus a teaching collection of artifact replicas representing key moments in human prehistory.
