The geography program enables you to address critical contemporary challenges, including environmental preservation and how shifting climate patterns impact human communities. Our MSc curriculum fosters the growth of autonomous research skills. You'll craft a thesis concentrating on a specialized geographical topic with guidance from an academic advisor. Key research areas we excel in include: Coastal environments Geospatial technologies Societal geography Natural landscapes Ecological balance and sustainable practices Students gain hands-on experience through fieldwork, potential lab instructor positions, and participation in departmental seminars and special events.
Your bachelor’s degree should give you an appropriate background in biochemistry.
Preference for admission is given to students with at least a 77% (B+, 6.0 GPA, high Second Class in Britain) average in the last two years of undergraduate study.
You may also be considered with an equivalent of a minimum B (5.0 GPA) average over the last two years of your degree with a demonstrated record of research ability.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): We require a minimum score of 90 from the internet-based TOEFL (IBT). You must also score at least 20 points each in the listening, speaking, reading and writing sections.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): We require minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. No individual component can have a score lower than 6.0.
MET (Michigan English Test): A score of 64 on the MET will be accepted as proof of English proficiency.
