As one of only three Canadian programs providing an MFA in Writing, this curriculum focuses equally on crafting and instructing creative writing. You'll concentrate on refining your craft across five possible genres: fiction, creative nonfiction, playwriting, screenwriting, or poetry. The program also supports experimentation with emerging formats such as graphic novels or interactive media.
You'll collaborate with globally recognized authors and a tight-knit group of fellow writers in an encouraging atmosphere. Upon graduation, you'll possess a refined portfolio along with practical abilities for publication, artistic career longevity, and professional opportunities as a writer, editor, or college-level educator.
