This MA program allows you to collaborate closely with seasoned historians, mastering their techniques and research approaches. You'll expand your understanding of historical studies and historical methodology. Students can choose between the thesis track (2-year duration) or an accelerated major research project (MRP) option (1-year completion). Our History department hosts a robust graduate program with around 60 enrolled students, supported by 34 full-time faculty and 29 emeritus/adjunct professors. Over the past ten years, 56 of our students have received SSHRC funding. Faculty researchers have secured $5 million in grants since 2000. Our Master's graduates have established successful careers across government, legal fields, business, research institutions, and higher education. Doctoral alumni now hold teaching positions at universities and colleges nationwide.
