This program focuses on a thesis grounded in research. Your coursework will bridge various anthropology subfields. Our department operates around four cutting-edge, interdisciplinary themes: Culture, Health and Inequality; Evolution and Ecology; Space, Place, Knowledge and Power
Visual Anthropology and Materiality
You'll complete courses in relevant methodologies and your specialization area. Your independent thesis project will involve fieldwork or laboratory research, enabling you to produce original scholarly contributions while developing expertise through hands-on learning.

Program participants will:
engage with anthropological knowledge from diverse subdisciplinary viewpoints
examine current scholarship in their chosen focus area, develop specialized understanding of specific cultures, systems, locations, and historical contexts, produce novel research addressing disciplinary challenges
perform fieldwork or laboratory investigations to create experience-based knowledge
formulate research proposals and effectively present findings, acquire project management competencies including scheduling, data organization, and quality assurance
