Our program guides students through various forms of creative writing, such as fiction, poetry, nonfiction, screenplays, and theatrical works, with additional options in Journalism and Publishing through our Professional Writing Minor. Explore emerging areas like children's literature, travel narratives, digital media, graphic novels, and specialized subjects.
Through the Writing Department's Major Program, you'll refine your abilities in poetic, fictional, nonfiction, screenplay, and dramatic writing. This major culminates in either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, determined by your elective course selections.
