The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) prepares Canada's next generation of healthcare leaders and scholars through its exceptional academic programs.

Clinical epidemiology, or ClinEpi, implements epidemiological concepts and techniques in healthcare settings, often described as the foundational discipline of medical practice. This field encompasses multiple specialties, focusing on enhancing disease prevention, accurate diagnosis, outcome prediction, and therapeutic interventions. Learners will master epidemiological frameworks to examine care deficiencies, evaluate theories, and implement findings in real-world healthcare systems and policies.

Qualification Requirements
Four-year undergraduate degree in a clinical health profession, with clinical training, from an accredited University (BScN, BScOT, BScPT, BSc(Pharm), DMD, MD, MScN, etc.) with at least a B+ standing in the last two years of study.
Relevant research experience. Most successful applicants have been engaged in research projects and will have published (a number) of peer-reviewed manuscripts already.
Commitment to a career in research as an independent investigator able to compete for peer-reviewed funding.
Applicants are expected to have a minimum release time of 3 of 5 / 5 of 7 days per week in both thesis and non-thesis program options.
Transcripts
Transcripts must be scanned and uploaded to the SGS application website from all post-secondary institutions. Official transcripts will be required if you are selected to move forward to the interview stage.
Grade legends and translations should accompany international transcripts.
If you do not have a transcript from your residency program you can provide a letter from your residency program outlining the details of your training (how long and where). We will use this letter as a transcript for your residency.
The letter of intent should be concise and relevant. Think about addressing your previous education, reasons for wanting to enrol in CEHCR, future career goals and research interests as they apply to CEHCR. It is also a great place to elaborate on any funding or supervision arrangements and clinical obligations during your studies.
