Established in 1979, the MPH Program specializing in Social and Behavioural Health Sciences (Health Promotion) is a practice-oriented graduate program that equips graduates for various roles in government and community health organizations. The curriculum includes rigorous research methodology training to prepare students for doctoral studies and research careers in health promotion. The program adopts a social science approach to examining individual, community, and population health, with particular focus on analyzing and addressing social and personal health determinants. It explores complementary health promotion strategies including health communication, community engagement, organizational transformation, health advocacy, and public policy development.
