The MA program employs an interdisciplinary framework drawing from diverse academic disciplines such as legal studies, cultural anthropology, public health, historical analysis, spatial studies, economic theory, pedagogical approaches, workforce research, government systems, community services, societal structures, cultural identity frameworks, feminist theory, and migration studies. For example, human rights principles serve as foundational concepts for examining how current institutional, financial, and societal justifications for accessibility interact with structural obstacles and discrimination.
This flexible program accommodates both full-time and part-time students from various professional backgrounds, including disability rights activists, public sector employees, disability service providers, and NGO staff working with community initiatives and policy advocacy. From the outset, participants can engage in academic conferences with peer review processes, contribute to scholarly publications, and create opinion editorials during their initial year of study.
