The Translational Research Program (TRP) unites students, mentors, and experts from various backgrounds, including researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals. Our collaborative environment fosters knowledge exchange as we tackle practical challenges and push healthcare innovation forward. TRP courses serve as hubs for dialogue and collaborative learning, with practical projects helping expand your professional connections and knowledge base. You'll gain skills to handle uncertainty, identify innovation opportunities, create new solutions, enhance quality standards, and spearhead research initiatives that transform medical practices and community health outcomes.
TRP offers a unique learning approach. Instead of traditional lectures and tests, you'll develop through personalized coaching, mentorship, constructive critiques, and encouragement. Through flexible course selections and a culminating Capstone Research Project, you can tailor your studies to align with your aspirations. Our program structure promotes both personal advancement and career growth while equipping you with skills to make meaningful contributions to healthcare innovation.
The Master of Health Science (MHSc) in Translational Research is a two-year (five-term) professional degree program featuring project-based learning. It requires completing 8.0 full-course equivalents (FCE) and a capstone research project.
