The Master of Environmental Science is a one-year professional program primarily consisting of coursework for the first two terms. During their final term, students complete either a professional internship or faculty-supervised environmental research projects. A part-time study option exists. This degree attracts students with undergraduate backgrounds in environmental science or related foundational fields like geology, biology, chemistry, or engineering. Graduates are prepared for careers influencing environmental policy and practice across government agencies, corporations, and NGOs. Specializations include Conservation and Biodiversity, Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation, or the broader Terrestrial and Aquatic Systems track.
The MEnvSc program delivers intensive 12-month professional training to develop skilled environmental science practitioners, specifically addressing workforce demands in industry, government, and environmental policy/education sectors.
