The Master of Education in Curriculum & Pedagogy (C&P) program provides a structured platform for analyzing curriculum through a comprehensive lens, encompassing both formal and informal learning environments. Students critically assess content (subjects, courses, degree programs), objectives, and teaching methodologies that facilitate learning across educational contexts.
Participants in the C&P program must finish ten half-courses, with flexible full-time or part-time enrollment options. Additional courses may be necessary based on prior academic background. Featuring faculty with varied research specializations, the program offers six optional Emphases. Degree completion timelines are three years for full-time students and six years for part-time candidates.
The Critical Studies in Curriculum and Pedagogy (CSCP) Emphasis within the C&P program serves MA, MEd, and PhD candidates. CSCP promotes rigorous examination of educational systems, extending beyond traditional school settings. Coursework emphasizes equity-focused education, addressing topics like: environmental sustainability, global interconnectedness, colonial legacies, racial justice, accessibility, gender identity, sexual orientation, and cultural/linguistic diversity.
