CIRHR's graduate programs are consistently ranked among North America's finest, with a faculty that embodies the university's rich diversity and academic range. The Industrial Relations and Human Resources (IRHR) undergraduate program aims to deliver an interdisciplinary education focused on workplace dynamics within Canadian and international settings, incorporating viewpoints from economics, history, law, HR management, political science, psychology, and sociology. This curriculum equips students with both theoretical foundations and up-to-date industry knowledge, preparing them for diverse career paths including HR Generalist, Recruitment Specialist, HR Consultant, Employment Equity Officer, Training and Development Consultant, Corporate Trainer, Labour Ministry Policy Advisor, Union Representative, and Labour Relations Specialist. Additionally, the IRHR undergraduate program serves as an excellent foundation for pursuing advanced studies in Industrial Relations and Human Resources, Labor and Employment Law, or Policy and Labour Studies.
The Work and Organization (IRW) majors take an interdisciplinary approach to analyzing evolving work structures and organizational operations. This program develops essential skills for addressing modern societal challenges by coordinating economic and social initiatives within organizations and communities. IRW responds to growing student interest in work-related studies by offering foundational knowledge that enhances and complements other Arts & Science programs. Graduates will possess the tools to successfully navigate a rapidly changing job market.
