The Department of Geography, Geomatics and Environment provides undergraduate degrees including BA and BSc options in Geography, along with a BSc in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), working in tandem with Environment-related programs. The curriculum follows a progressive structure: introductory courses (first year), fundamental stream courses (second year), followed by specialized upper-year studies. Early program years blend human-social-cultural and biogeophysical approaches with environmental viewpoints and analytical techniques. Following foundational coursework, students must complete two courses from their chosen core stream and two from the remaining three streams before selecting a specialization.
Majors and specialists must fulfill mandatory field experience requirements, achievable through dedicated field courses or classes with field components as specified in course outlines.
