Our French studies program delivers a comprehensive, adaptable curriculum exploring both the language and the diverse cultures it represents. Students gain valuable skills for careers in education, media, translation, publishing, public service, and academic research. Proficiency in French provides a competitive advantage in Canada's employment landscape. Our department features a cohesive program combining language studies, linguistics, literary analysis, and cultural studies, with French as the primary language of instruction.
