The Book and Media Studies program explores how communication tools—from illustrated manuscripts and radio broadcasts to propaganda posters, musical performances, digital platforms, and AI—shape societies and ideas. Taking a global approach, the program investigates media forms across history and today, questioning how they affect our perception of the world, ourselves, and our connections with others. Students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI, learn from distinguished journalists, and engage with traditional printing presses.
The Arts & Science Internship Program (ASIP) is open to second-year students pursuing the Book and Media Studies Major. In rare cases, transfer students or those joining the major after Year 2 may qualify for ASIP in Year 3, subject to availability and approval from their academic department and the Faculty of Arts & Science Experiential Learning & Outreach Support (ELOS) Office. For full eligibility criteria, visit the ASIP page on the Faculty of Arts & Science website.
