The Faculty of Music provides two undergraduate programs: the Bachelor of Music (Mus.Bac.) and the Bachelor of Music in Performance (Mus.Bac.Perf.). Performance majors start their specialized training immediately in first year, while students in the general Bachelor of Music program (excluding Music Education in Classical & Jazz, Composition, and Comprehensive-Jazz) complete a Common Year. This foundational year allows them to fulfill core requirements while exploring potential specializations in areas like History & Theory or Comprehensive. Those interested in Music Education (Classical) or Composition may choose to delay their specialization until Year 2 after completing the Common Year. All students must complete fundamental music courses covering history, theory, and performance, creating a shared academic foundation.
