The Toxicology Centre oversees and directs research and postgraduate education in toxicology, with significant involvement from the University's Toxicology Group members. This interdisciplinary group, operating under the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, includes faculty from multiple university departments and researchers from nearby government institutions. Many Toxicology Group faculty members are qualified to mentor potential students.
This program's interdisciplinary approach offers students a wide range of toxicology research possibilities. Applicants with undergraduate degrees in diverse fields like agriculture, biology, chemistry, ecology, environmental sciences, medicine, physiology, pharmacology, toxicology, or veterinary medicine are encouraged to apply.
A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, or,
A three-year first cycle undergraduate degree, in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, from an institution that meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna Declaration, will be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree.
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit units USask equivalent).
Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
