The Department of Physics and Engineering Physics provides advanced degree programs culminating in M.Sc. and Ph.D. qualifications in either Physics or Engineering Physics. Our department maintains a robust dedication to research initiatives and infrastructure. Graduate candidates collaborate closely with faculty advisors, engage fully in research processes, and receive acknowledgment for their valuable roles in our research endeavors. This fosters an educational setting where students acquire exceptional expertise in their chosen field. Total enrollment across our M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs typically falls between 60 and 70 students.

A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, or,
A three-year first cycle undergraduate degree, in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, from an institution that meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna Declaration, will be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree.
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit units USask equivalent).
Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
English language proficiency requirements
