The Master of Public Policy (MPP) equips students with research capabilities to explore public policy issues and apply their knowledge in practical settings. Graduates of this program develop essential research competencies for careers in government agencies, think tanks, and professional associations. Exceptional students may pursue advanced doctoral studies in public policy.

This program can be completed in just 16-24 months of full-time study. Each student receives personalized guidance from a dedicated research advisor and advisory committee upon enrollment.

Qualification Requirements

A cumulative weighted average of at least a 75% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units)
A four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants and for applicants whose first language is not English. A minimum overall TOEFL score of 86 is required with a minimum score of 20 in each area, or a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each area
