Anthropology offers a broad examination of humanity across time and cultures, taking a comparative and holistic approach that highlights how societies adapt and transform. Students and researchers conduct in-depth fieldwork both within Canada and internationally, spanning regions from Latin America to Eastern Europe. The graduate program specializes in medical anthropology and environmental anthropology studies.
Thanks to our strategic location and strong community ties, we excel in partnership-driven research with Indigenous communities, focusing on health systems, governance structures, land rights, and ancestral environmental wisdom.
